Here are some notes from Ryan on how he approached his interpretation of Kinetic:

"The score for Kinetic is mostly comprised of straight trajectories that make abrupt (even sharp?) changes of direction, with seemingly ornamental figures occasionally alongside these razor-straight lines. I attempted to translate the lines' internal regularity and density into my sound's surface texture: from intermittent & prickly to murky, dense, and coarse to airy and sustained, etc. When traveling along the lines, I attempted to maintain a constant level of forward energy, inevitably interrupted by lingering ventures into the circular figures alongside the lines. After each excursion into these ornament-like figures, I return to the relentless (albeit changing) trajectory laid out by the lines: each corner signaling a sudden shift in texture."
