Here is a description from Perry about how he approached his interpretation:
"I chose to render my personal postcards as an interactive projected spectrogram: time axis left to right, frequency bottom (low) to top. The performer manipulates cursers around the score (by way of a sensor augmented blue plastic trombone). The cursors select spectra/time regions for real-time sinusoidal additive synthesis. (except for the special red ball….)."
