Here are some notes from Marc on how he approached his interpretation of Cycle.

"I’m honestly a bit surprised as to how ‘dark’ the direction I ended up taking is, especially given how light and airy the visuals of your score first appeared to me. I think maybe the heaviness of the word ‘cycle’ in this moment crept in there. Anyway, I ended up experimenting a bit with a tape loop of an electric piano, then piezo-mic’d the cassette player itself. I routed the piezo through the morphagene to really get in there. Some cycles that have been taking place in my apartment, which I had started to notice over the last few months and got in the habit of recording, also came to good use. There are some processed samples in there of my A/C unit and the radiator (from back in March). The rest is modular. I took your written direction and explored a few exits, though who knows if I made it out of the loop. The attempts of these exits are at least recorded."
