About the Concert

Vicki Ray will be featuring new works and original compositions for piano and electronics by Daniel Corral, Sarah Belle Reid, Pierre Jodlowski, Fay Wang, Joshua Carro, and Noboyoshi Tanaka.

Composer Sarah Belle Reid is a performer dedicated to new and experimental music.  Her composition, title Memory House in Gold is an electroacoustic piece for prepared piano and found objects. Vicki Ray notes “I was intrigued by Sarah’s sound/noise world and wondered what she might do with something like a grand piano.  The piece uses vibration sensors and surface transducers to create what Sarah describes as a ‘sonic world that is simultaneously fragile and intense,’”
